West Tech Assemblage 2025
On Thursday 20th of February, I had the incredible opportunity to MC West Tech Assemblage 2025!
This wasn’t just my first time MCing—it was my first time leading a conversation that truly matters. West Tech Assemblage is all about digital inclusion, and for me, that’s more than just a concept—it’s something I see every single day as a student. From the $265 ClassPad calculator required for ATAR maths to the students who struggle with access to tech for basic assignments, the digital divide is real, and it directly impacts who gets opportunities and who doesn’t.
I was honored to introduce some incredible speakers, including Allan Connolly MICDA, Joy Langley, Georgie, and many others who shared their powerful experiences. Hearing firsthand how digital exclusion affects people—from education to employment, from access to essential services to basic connectivity—was eye-opening.
A huge thank you to Nilesh Makwana, Jan Bryson PMP Bryson, and the entire West Tech team for making this event possible, and to all the amazing panelists and speakers for their insights and energy. This was more than just an event—it was a push for real action.
Grateful to have been joined by Mayor Mark Irwin, Mayor Hannah Fitzhardinge GAICD , James Pearson FAICD FAIM (CEO of City of Joondalup), and David Michael, at West Tech Assemblage 2025. Their insights and leadership in driving digital inclusion made the event even more impactful!
West Tech Assemblage may be over, but the conversation on digital inclusion and accessibility is far from finished. Let’s keep driving change!
